MODERN VIETNAMESE TEA CEREMONY
Trends can come and go but heritage and tradition is always something that will always stay timeless and hold a special meaning. When Frances and Alex first spoke to us about styling their tea ceremony, we were thrilled when they mentioned they wanted their tea ceremony to be modern and styled in a way that’s never been done before.
It was such a beautiful opportunity to be able to take this tradition so rooted in history and style it in a way that nods to it’s deeper meaning but bring a modern touch.
Florals were a big part of the design for Frances and Alex’s tea ceremony and the inspiration was to bring the oriental garden indoors. Floral designer Blonde Florals chose orchids, jasmine, dahlias and birds of paradise in tones of reds and pinks and complimented the arrangements with autumnal foliage.
Frances and Alex wore traditional Ao Dai in red and blue respectively to mark their celebration of coming together as a couple.
A lot of couples nowadays decide to have a modern wedding (and sometimes even have a traditional ceremony on the same day) but we think it is beautiful to celebrate this traditional way of tying the knot on a separate day altogether.
