Pin-Worthy Moments: A Look Inside Our Industry Masterclass with Pinterest
There’s something special that happens when creativity, community, and conversation come together — and our recent industry masterclass, hosted together with Theodore Magazine, and with our special guest Pinterest was exactly that. Designed as both an inspiring space and a thoughtful gathering, this event was a celebration of shared ideas, emerging trends, and the art of visual storytelling.
Hosted within the contemporary art gallery - Arc One, we transformed the minimal, open space into a warm and welcoming setting — a layered response to winter that felt both seasonally grounded and trend-forward, bringing a vision to life through intentional styling and thoughtful hospitality. From the start, our goal was to create a setting that sparked connection — not only between guests, but also between inspiration and application.
THE SPACE
The styling drew from Pinterest’s visual DNA: fresh, forward-thinking, and deeply aesthetic.
We layered neutral tones with sculptural floral moments, tactile surfaces, and custom brand details. Velvet banquette seating in rich olive and earthy browns created an inviting softness against the gallery's clean lines, paired with warm wooden tables from Dann Event Hire. Neutral weave linens from Table Art added understated texture, while deep-toned, minimal floral arrangements by Flowers Vasette brought a grounded elegance to the space.
THE DETAILS
From envelope-style menus by Emclectic to subtle Pinterest-red accents and custom branding moments, every element was considered. The tablescapes were ambient and tactile — layered with thoughtful textures and mood lighting. To add an unexpected (and fun) twist, we leaned into the jelly dessert trend with beautifully styled creations by Torte by Mirjana, which quickly became a talking point of the evening.
THE CONVERSATIONS
Our guest panel — featuring industry experts from Flowers Vasette, Married to the Groove, Smokey Oscar, MTL Socials, Dann Event Hire and our very own creative director Eliska — offered invaluable insights into where our industry is headed. From the importance of human connection in design to the evolution of wedding and event trends, each speaker brought a unique perspective.
THE PINTEREST PERSPECTIVE
We were honoured to welcome Jace from Pinterest, who flew in from Sydney to share an exclusive keynote on how to strategically use Pinterest for creative business growth. His talk was filled with tangible takeaways on leveraging the platform — not just for inspiration, but as a tool for planning, forecasting trends, and connecting with clients in more intentional ways.
THE ATMOSPHERE
As conversations continued over a candlelit three-course dinner by Cumulus Inc., the space buzzed with ideas, collaboration, and community. It was a night that celebrated not only the future of events but also the power of gathering with purpose.
But beyond the design, it was the people that made the day truly meaningful. Hosting stylists, planners, and creatives from across the industry, the event created space for honest conversations about what’s next in events, how we interpret trends, and how to continue creating with purpose.
To end, we shared a toast — to future collaborations, to the evolution of design, and to the enduring magic of bringing people together.
