BABY BLUES and bows

We couldn’t be more excited when we heard about the great news that Ti & Charlie were expecting a new addition to their family. Remember this epic wedding we styled back in February at Plaza Ballroom? This means one thing, we get to style this beautiful celebration for them again and it’s going to be epic.

THE INSPIRATION

Ti had a clear vision of blues since they already knew they were expecting a boy (little Charlie!) but with a french twist. Our thoughts immediately went to a custom toile du jouy that will instantly bring French vibes but also add an elegant touch to the branding. Thanks to Maisey from Maison Paper, a custom nursery animal inspired was created specially for Baby Emery.

a parisian experience

The Hellenic Museum in Melbourne CBD was our canvas for this celebration and the private garden provided an intimate spot for all of Ti & Charlie’s friends to gather. We were delighted to bring back their wedding custom backdrop for this new milestone and was the focal point as guests enter the space. Welcomed by a French band and the smell of crepes, guests were transported into France on a stunning Sunday.

Styling lounge areas with chic French chairs from Dann Event Hire were arranged around the garden for a relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere.

Another focal point alongside the backdrop was the dessert and grazing table that featured a custom ribbon cake for the baby’s name reveal. The table was adorned with classic French desserts and cheeses in a modern twist and was a beautiful collaboration between Fine Grazing, Torte by Mirjana and Beurre Cakes.

It was definitely so special to celebrate this new chapter with Ti & Charlie again!

We can’t wait to meet Baby Emery soon!

Here’s a few tips to create your own French inspired affair:

DECOR

Opt for elegant and minimalist decorations with a French touch. Think of using classic French elements like fleur-de-lis motifs, Eiffel tower replicas, or French flags subtly integrated into the overall decor.

COLOUR PALETTE

Choose a color palette that reflects modern French style, such as soft pastels like lavender, light blue, and cream, combined with bold accents like black or gold.

LOUNGE

Set up stylish seating areas with chic French bistro chairs or comfortable cushions arranged around low tables for a relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere.

CUISINE

Serve a mix of classic French dishes with a modern twist. Consider offering a variety of small bites like mini croque-monsieurs, truffled popcorn, or gourmet macarons or in this case a crepe station.

ENTERTAINMENT

Hire a musician to play French cafe music or create a playlist featuring modern French artists. You could also consider hiring a mime or a caricature artist for added entertainment. If you know kids are part of your guest list, consider having activities for them like a play area and a art station which was a big hit on this event.

ACTIVITIES

Incorporate French-inspired games or activities, such as a petanque tournament, a DIY flower crown station, or a French-themed photo booth.

FAVOURS

Send guests home with French-inspired party favors, like mini bottles of French perfume, macaron boxes, or lavender sachets.
